The next cover sketch, a title update, and more!
almost 6 years ago – Wed, May 16, 2018 at 01:11:15 PM

Happy Wednesday!

Four things for today!

We have the third sketch in for the cover. It's a different feel, but still has that great sense of wonder. Voting on the covers will start in a month, and we'll let you know!

Second, we're going to change the name of the next anthology, just a tiny bit. A number of readers have mentioned that they didn't  initially go back and check out previous collections because of the date as part of the title. That's an easy change to make! So be on the lookout for The Young Explorer's Adventure Guide, Volume 5. Figured you'd know it was us, but should tell you anyway :)

Third, the talented Bethany Brookshire, an award winning science journalist, will be writing the introduction this year.  She's been working on Science News for Students, and will be a perfect fit!

Finally - we have just a week left in the campaign for Twain's Treasure and A Pixie's Promise.  If you've been thinking about picking up a copy, now's the time!

Art for the Young Explorer's Adventure Guide - and the Fantasy Kickstarter is Live!
about 6 years ago – Thu, Apr 19, 2018 at 12:08:18 AM

We have two fabulous contenders for the cover of the 5th Young Explorer's Adventure Guide - I'm silly excited about this anthology :)

First, we'd love it if you took a peek at our fantasy campaign. Two great new novels waiting for you!

And now, look at these lovely concepts for the cover illustration!

Aren't they amazing?  I'm waiting for a couple more illustrators to get back to us, and then we'll start having to make choices. Hard, terrible choices :)

Have a lovely day, and thanks so much for your continued support!

Ahoy! Middle grade fantasy campaign on the horizon!
about 6 years ago – Wed, Mar 28, 2018 at 05:47:16 PM

While you usually hear from us about middle grade science fiction, we have two great middle grade fantasy novels that may tickle your fancy!

Two years ago we introduced A Witch's Kitchen. Despite her mother’s best efforts to teach her, every spell Millie tries goes horribly wrong, but she’s a fabulous cook. When Millie conjures chocolate sauce instead of a transformation potion, her mother gives up and sends her to the Enchanted Forest School...and much chaos, laughter and deliciousness ensues!

Now Dianna Sanchez is back with another installment of the Enchanted Kitchen Series, and will be doing a kickoff party with live, online readings on April 10th.

She'll be joined by William B. Wolfe, reading from his debut novel Twain's Treasure.

Register for our Launch Party, and not only will we remind you before all the fun starts, but we’ll also select three registered guests to receive a paperback of their choice from Dreaming Robot Press!

Hello, fabulous backers!

We've received photos and reports from all over the world of your copies of the 2018 Young Explorer's Adventure Guide sitting on shelves, and being made up into holiday bundles.

If by some chance you haven't received your books, please message me and I'll look up the order and we'll get it sorted!

I have a favor to ask for those of you who've already read your ebooks - the paperback just went live, and I'd love to have your reviews!

Your opinions really help other readers make up their minds - and we appreciate it!

Here's the link for Amazon, and for Goodreads.

Thank you, and have a wonderful rest of your week!
